Little Brother Up North - Original Watercolour
'Little Brother Up North’ is part of my New Bird Collection for 2026.
Puffins have to be among the most popular and comical of the seabirds, I love them with their colourful beaks, funny waddle, their charm and their size...being so small compared to all the other sea birds.
The inspiration for this piece was my local East Yorkshire coast line where we have a colony of Puffins at Bempton RSPB centre.
It has earned the nickname "Little Brother of the North." ....when I painted this picture my little brother was up North and the title just fit.
Expertly framed by Studio 1 framers local to me in a solid wood ochre coloured frame which enhances the nature of this piece. It also has ArtGlass which ensures a greatly reduced reflection and gives protection to the art.
The size of the framed piece is 31cm x 31cm.
